What is CBET/CVQ?
The CBET/CVQ framework is a regional competency-based training and certification system used across the Caribbean to ensure workers demonstrate real, industry-validated skills.
CBET (Competency Based Education and Training) focuses on mastery of workplace competencies rather than seat time, using practical assessments, performance criteria, and evidence-based evaluation.
CVQ (Caribbean Vocational Qualification) is the credential awarded at Levels 1–5, aligned with occupational standards approved by CANTA and national training agencies. Learners progress only when they demonstrate competence, ensuring standardized, portable, and industry-relevant certification.

Our Foundation in Jamaica
Polyphase Automation laid the foundation for advanced technical training in Jamaica beginning in 1999, delivering Training the Trainer (TTT) programs in Basic and Advanced Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) at the HEART Institute, Ashenheim Road Skill Training Centre, Kingston.
These early programs helped establish structured industrial automation training within HEART's national system, building a legacy of quality vocational education that continues today.
